The Witching Hour

Once upon a time, there were stories…

Cinderella’s elusive glass slipper, Rapunzel’s cascading locks, and the Miller’s Daughter’s remarkable ability to transform straw into gold – all of these elements are interwoven in the tapestry of magical kingdoms. Yet, every fairy tale is incomplete without a malevolent antagonist, someone so wicked that they will stop at nothing to disrupt the path to happily ever after. Or so the people of these magical realms have been led to believe.

However, the Villains have their own tales, the ones the world has never learned. And when a mysterious invitation shows up on their doorsteps, they’re given the chance to do something they haven’t done before: tell their side of the story.

The Villains are meeting at midnight…will you join them?

What the Readers Are Saying:

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I loved this collection of stories. The Witching Hour is a great way to retell fairytales with a twist- its from the villain’s perspective!
The stories were a short, focusing on the differences that the villains know, and tying into the overarching story really well!❤️
I would love to read sequel!! ~Paige

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

What if the fairy tale baddies all got together and formed a support group? Or really, all just got together to share their versions of the stories we know? What would that look like? Would they believe each other? Would we believe THEM? If you’ve been around for a minute, then you know that I’m in for any kind of fairy tale retelling, Disney or otherwise. I love a new perspective and this does just that… Perfection. ~Rose

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Super cute Novella where villains tell their stories and weirdly…have a happy ending.
Being a villain is hard, but being a villain alone? I wouldn’t wish that fate on anyone. ~Angel

Everyone thinks they know the story of The Nutcracker: a little girl is gifted a Nutcracker from her Uncle, who transports her to the Land of Sweets after defeating his nemesis, the Rat King. It’s a joyful story, told during the holidays to cheer up the people of the various kingdoms.

But the real story is much, much darker.

Three generations of girls were preyed on by Drosselmeyer. The Land of Sweets is a trap, and its citizens are prisoners. Only Clara can stop the cycle, but the question is…does she want to?
